A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO MY BROTHER
PAUL BENNETT BROWN
November 18, 1947 – July 22, 2007
At approximately 9:50 PM MST on July 22, 2007, my brother, Paul Bennett Brown (Ben), my only sibling, died at Hospice of the Valley in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 59. He will come home to the Augusta Cemetery to be buried.
He was about twelve years younger than I, and he was truly a chosen child. He brought joy to the Brown family. My cousin, Mary Lou Turnipseed, and I waited patiently on the porch at 124 Eleventh Street, NE, Massillon, OH for his arrival into the family.
Unfortunately, his health problems began at an early age. Despite those problems, he graduated from Milligan College, embarked on his teaching career, married Faye Johnson of Elizabethton, Tennessee and raised a wonderful family—Travis and Steven. His three grandsons were the light of his life. He left the Hospice on Saturday, July 21 to return home to Queen Creek, Arizona, to spend three hours with Faye and the family.
What more can I say? I loved him very much. He was a good and kind brother. My four children loved him. There is a hole in our family and in our lives that cannot be filled. It seems 59 is too young to leave us.
Selfishly – I will miss him!
